Networking doesn't work

Hello,
I've just installed Fedora Core 1 on my notebook.
All seems to work fine but networking.
I configured my NIC to get an IP address via DHCP: the NIC seems to get
all needed data (IP, Subnet mask, ecc.) but I'm not able to ping any
host in my LAN.
The NIC works fine: my Fedora installation is in a Vmware virtual
machine and the NIC works without problems with Windows XP.
Before Fedora, I installed with the same configuration RedHat 9 and it
worked fine.
Here below the configuration files (they've the same content):

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
/etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth0
/etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/ifcfg-eth0

Last 3 rows are to permit Vmware to activate eth0 correctly.
When I try to execute "netstat -r" (or "route") at prompt, Fedora take a
long time to show me the last row (the default gateway).

Any suggestion?
