Hi all,
I just realized that my "talk" program doesn't work on FC1,. When
I try to talk to a user, i.e
talk someuser
it gives me back
"Error on read from talk daemon: Connection refused... press any key"
then a
"Checking for invitation on caller's machine."
An rpm -qa|grep talk, gives:
talk-server-0.17-21
talk-0.17-21
ytalk-3.1.1-14
meaning I've the server and client installed.
My /etc/xinetd.d/talk reads;
----------------------------------------------------------------------
default: on
# description: The talk server accepts talk requests for chatting with
users \
# on other systems.
service talk
{
disable = no
flags = IPv4
socket_type = dgram
wait = yes
user = nobody
group = tty
server = /usr/sbin/in.talkd
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the archives there's some guy who had the same problem but never could
found the solution. Any help is appreciated! :-)
With kind regards,
Didier.
