i can recommend mplayer. you can get the rpms at rpm.livna.org, and its
other dependencies are in fedora.us.

make sure you also get the rpms for the codecs at www.mplayerhq.hu. it
will allow you to play almost all video formats. no problems as well for
dvd and vcd, although dvd play doesn't exactly have "menus".
