NIC cards

You could run this:

cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

It should return at least what RH thinks is your card:

# National Semi|DP83815 (MacPhyter) Ethernet Controller
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static

You should start with whomever makes your card first and see if they have drivers for your card.

  1. How does one determine what RedHat thinks that the NIC card is? (in windows, you can go to My computer, hardware, etc)

  2. Is there a URL Where one can download NIC drivers?
