modem not found ......

Please help.

I've just installed Fedora on a PC that has a modem
card in it.

When using 'Network Configuration' to add a new
'Device' for modem connection, a 'Waring' pop-out
says, "redhat-config-network: No modem was found on
your system."

Please help advising on how to get the system to
recognize the modem and to make a modem connection.
