What ports can be blocked to stop chat rooms and instant messaging?

open gaim like you are going to make accounts for your messaging... but
there is  a site you can go to and try to spam yourself with messages to
see if your port is blocking them.. hehe.. its
https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 click proceed and it will tell you
what your firewall is doing with a few other tools ...
