Kernel 2.6 panic

Yes. The on board intel ethernet controller works fine with no problems
on the 2.4 kernels. It was autodetected during install and I never had
to do anything about it.

I just tried a newer 2.6 kernel, and on that the ethernet does not work.
I didn't investigate it further.
