Problem installing Fedora Core 1

Have you gone into the BIOS setup (F2 during boot I believe) and turned 
off legacy USB support? I know it sounds irrelevant to your stated 
issue, but I experienced hangs trying to install until I followed that 
tip found on other Compaq laptop install how-to pages.
