Newbee question: Telnet doesn't work with Fedora core 1

Obligatory warning:  Telnet is evil, move to ssh.  Works just like telnet 
except the data is transparently encrypted.  It also has some fantastic 
powers to teleport X apps around.

Everyone else replied with great answers before I could finish this :-).  The 
only thing I didn't see mentioned:

 - As Telnet is universally acknowledged to encourage evil, the service 
telnetd is not enabled by default.  Check that you have it installed
