Laptop Battery Status

Hi,

me, newbie either. Fedora doesn't install with acpi automatically. So, you
need to insert in your /etc/grub.conf at the line, where you see something
like:
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ noapic rhgb

you add at the end acpi=on, so you will have something like

kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ noapic rhgb acpi=on

it didn't work for my hp xt1000 either before i did this...
