Thanks to all who replied....because this is a fedora list, I will terminate
discussion on this topic here, but let me mention that it turns out that there
is indeed a mailing list for whitebox at
http://beau.org/mailman/listinfo/whitebox-users so off I post this there....

Also, there is another version at http://taolinux.org -- don't know which is
better.
