Problems compiling Super FreeS/WAN on Core 1

Hello,

I want to compile Super FreeS/WAN 1.99.8 (From www.freeswan.ca) on
my fresh installed Fedora Core 1 (all updates applied).

I fetched the 2.4.24 Kernel from kernel.org, compiled and installed it -
everything worked just fine.

So i wanted to compile and install Super FreeS/WAN.
After executing "make menugo" compiling runs about 2 hours then it
stops issuing "make: *** [kernel] Error 1".

There aren't any obvious erros!

What can i do to compile it correctly?
I tried changing to another machine but, i got the same error again!

Please help me!
