redhat-config-tools on Fedora

Hi,
when i'm user i don't start a tool redhat-config-*. When i'm root and i start
atool redhat-config-* or up2date my pc shoutdown.

Jan 17 14:09:59 Prestige su(pam_unix)[3303]: session opened for user root
by(uid=500)
Jan 17 14:10:19 Prestige shutdown: shutting down for system halt

Why?
