Kpackage missing from Kdeadmin - Why, and howto rectify

All present and updated.

Oddly enough, i can compile and install from your srpms, but kpackage
doesn't work. It starts up, it queries local rpm db, but when you get
down to business and want to uninstall some rpm's it fails. And if you
check for test transaction it crashes.

Does this happen to you as well?
