Thanks guys for the good information on tmpwatch. A query about tmpwatch's default cron settings though: Why is the default time range for /var/tmp 720 hrs (30 days) and /tmp is 240 (10 days)? Why so much longer for /var/tmp? I know I can just change it to my needs, but I am just wondering about the logic behind these differences. -- Matt
