Compilation general question -- FC1 in production

Hello all,


I put myself question about compilation, i installed an nagios server on
a FC1 (it's a network monitoring tool). 

The other machine i have to monitor are RH7.3 bi-pro(Compact ML530)
rh7.3 (quadri-proNec express 5800) and solaris8(sun SF6800 20
processors).


I wonder what is important to work on most of plateform :

is the number of cpu is important?
is the os install is important ?


May i compile the remote agent on the FC1 and copy the bynary file on to
all the x86 mach (rh7.3 bi-pro,rh7.3 quadri-pro) and compile on the a
sparc mac and deploy the binay on to all solaris8 system.

I hope that is possible, it would borrow me to compile the remote agent
on all the mach !!!

Is somebody may say me more about that ???
