Qt? Error with configuring kopete

I'm trying to build kopete on Fedora 1 (because gaim doesn't work with
Yahoo and ymessenger refuses to run) but am running into an error with
configure:

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1 (20021021)) (headers
and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!

What is Qt? And where might I find it? yum list shows nothing, so I've
no idea where it might come from. The kopete web page also tells me
nothing of this best.

I know that it's tied in with KDE somehow, but I run KDE (gnome is too
fussy, not technical enough and the icons are far too big for my liking)
