Upgrading from min install?

I believe you have no chance to selective unselect the zip package
during install.

Without X server running you can not use this option.

Yes, but only available when already having X running.

>From you minimal install onwards while no graphical mode can run,
install further packages with up2date getting the files over the net.
It's probably the easiest if you are not experienced enough to install
using rpm and a mounted CD as source.
