Can't get kernel 2.6.1boot properly

Hi,

I think ext2/ext3 support are compiled already.
/ is mounted sucessfully if /dev/hdc1 is passes as kernel
parameter instead of LABEL=/

Can anyone who have sucessfully complie and run 2.6.x
kernel give me a hint :-)?
