printer settings won't "stick"

Hi

I am running Fedora Core 1. I have the following issue:

Whenever I reboot my machine (which is every day, this is a personal 
workstation) my printer settings are lost. Each day when I reboot my 
machine the Print Manager applet says "No printers found, run Printer 
Configuration Tool?" and I have to re-run the printer configuration tool 
every day.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
