I also had some problems getting their Macromedia-provided version to
work.  I found the following instructions from the list archive, it
worked great for me.

Add the following to your /etc/yum.conf:

[macromedia-flash-plugin]
name=Macromedia Flash Plugin with redistribution limitations
baseurl=http://macromedia.mplug.org/apt/fedora/$releasever

Then:

yum install flash-plugin
