Changing Apache MPM in FC1

Hello all.

I'm going to change the MPM used by the Apache HTTP server from the
compiled-in-FC1-default of "prefork" to "perchild".

The problem is I'm unsure how to do that withoud messing up the FC1
package management. And yet I wasn't able to find an Apache RPM with the
perchild module compiled in.

Any ideas out there?
