On a side note, I tried compiling the cx88 module, here's what I get:

$ make
make -C /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2149.nptl/build
SUBDIRS=/home/user01/cx88-0.0.1 modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2149.nptl'

The present kernel configuration has modules disabled.
Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support.
Then build a kernel with module support enabled.

make[1]: *** [modules] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2149.nptl'
make: *** [default] Error 2

This is an unmodified fedora kernel-2.4.22-1.2149.nptl

Any thoughts?
