Sendmail still will not read config files

You must have changed something from default installation. I am running
Fedora as sendmail server without any problems and without need to
change anything with permissions.

Please post what you did change. If you did not change anything just
remove the sendmail packages and reinstall them. Check for start again.
If you changed instructions in sendmail.mc please post your file.
