Yes, it's called prelinking, and it should run off cron every night or
so (or something like one hour after the system is booted up, if
started from anacron).  Make sure you let it run through to completion
after updating major system components (kernel, glibc, any other
shared libs OOo might need), and then OOo will load up much faster.
