    Well, I liked xawtv; used it for 3-4 years.  Tried "Zapping" and
whatever else was out, too.  But the ease of setup, the ability to turn
on/off XDS decoding (which I didn't know existed until TVTive) and the
fact that it took a year to find my first bug in it, makes it 'better'
in my eyes.

    I agree; for basic viewing, it really works the silicon.  I'm on an
Athlon 1300 and watching TV means everything else bogs down...but I deal
with it.

    Kinda reminds me of xosview and gkrellm.  I used xosview for
years...and it's still the only _easy_ thing to watch the interrupts
I've seen.  But gkrellm is a lot nicer looking, and more flexible.  I
still use xosview when I'm looking to see if I'm on the right serial
port.  :>
