The best place that I've encountered to get good burning instructions is
LinuxISO.org. I'm still quite a newbie to Linux and I burned a few
coasters before I figured out what I was doing.

In my own personal experience, I was successfully able to burn Fedora
images to disk with my old copy of Nero 5.5.2.8 using the instructions
for Nero; there are also instructions for newer versions of Nero and
these apps as well: Toast, WinOnCD, CDrWin, and EasyCD. The instructions
are posted here:

CDs booted with no problem and the MD5 Sums checked out just fine.
Unfortunately, I don't have a DVD burner yet so I can't vouch for the
DVD image.
