FC2 kernel failure on SCSI machine

Check to see if you don't have the initrd image problem. I have a
similar issue, if I build my modules needed for booting into my kernel I
am ok.

If you do a mkinitrd a few times and see the results have different file
sizes you probably have the same issue I have.
