And I did try changing it as recommended on

        http://cyberelk.net/tim/usb-storage.html

vi /etc/updfstab.conf.default

device flash {
    partition 1
(...)
    match hd "I/O Magic Drive" <-- added
}

I also tried variants such as:

    match hd "Phison Electronics Corp. I/O Magic Drive"

or simply

    match   hd Phison

or

    match   hd Magic

But this doesn't have any effect at all, even though kudzu declares the
multi card reader as:

class: HD
bus: USB
detached: 0
driver: usb-storage
desc: "Phison Electronics Corp. I/O Magic Drive" <---- here
usbclass: 8
usbsubclass: 6
usbprotocol: 50
usbbus: 3
usblevel: 1
usbport: 1
usbdev: 9
vendorId: 0d7d
deviceId: 0240
usbmfr:
usbprod: USB Reader

This is puzzling. Everything goes ok but updfstab!
