Changing desktop text colour?

Hi,

I've just changed the background image for my desktop, but now the text is  
unreadable so I was going to change the colour of it. So, I right-click on  
the KDE desktop and select "configure desktop" and hmmm... the  
"appearance" tab seems to have disappeared since the last time I used this  
feature. I last used it in FC1 (I think) and am now using FC2.

So how does one change the desktop text colour in this new version?
