Can Nautilus CD Creator be used to burn an iso image

Not matching your request, but the easiest and quickest way to burn an
ISO image file onto a CD-R or CD-RW is using cdrecord.

Edit /etc/cdrecord.conf to have proper desired default settings for your
burning device. Then run on console | xterm | other terminal window:

sudo cdrecord -v -eject /path/to/image_file.ISO

If the ISO source file is a bootable CD then the resulting burned CD
will boot.
