Rhythmbox takes for ever to load library

I think I found the explanation, courtesy of Google - apparently there 
are problems with importing songs when there are WMA files present. It 
also appears Rhythmbox can't handle WMA files (it plays them but can't 
catalog them) so it won't be useful for me anyway. Back when I had a 
portable player with too little memory I converted everything to WMA to 
save space. Now, converting it all back to MP3 is probably not feasible.
