Annoying and seemingly unsolvable problem.

Unfortunately, there is no single standard for this activity and many of
the applications use different libraries and use different methods. KDE
probably has more functionality in this arena as they have tried to get
more consistency for this (Klipper).

It's not a fluke - everyone has the same problem.
