Laptop Touchpad issue

if u still haven't fix it, try this:
       add "psmouse.proto=imps" (without the quotes) to the kernel boot 
parameters in /boot/grub/grub.conf (if u use grub) file for the 
kernel(s) that you are running. reboot.
