Does it need to be one that runs in the panel? I've used gnome since
forever, and have recently switched to KDE, since v3.2. I like
gkrellm, which shows all of that data, plus more, with some cool
skins. But it's not a panel app.

Actually, I just looked at Knemo, which was suggested by someone else
and it's not a panel app either. I would check out gkrellm, I think
that if you are looking for a handy system monitor, this woul more
than suit your needs.
