Glad you had success.  The script-created GRUB menu floppy does have its
uses though, like editing the menu to change the default so all the kids
have to do is pop in the floppy (already sitting in the drive) to boot
up Windoze for their games, or quick recovery when Bill Gates overwrites
your MBR without asking.
