Can you give us more information on your setup. Does the Slackware
server act as a firewall or is each box setup with direct internet
access?

If the Slackware acts as a firewall for your home system, you could
disable the firewalls from each of the Fedora systems to allow cups
access between machines. To remove the Fedora firewall, use "Security
Level" in the System Settings menu to disable firewall.

But if the Slackware server does not act as a firewall, do not disable
the firewall in the Fedora boxes.
