This is not OS related, the shutting down it is encorperated in the pentium
iv (a thermal protection)
Depending on your available airflow you could consider buying a decent
cooler (google on coolermaster, iceberg
zalman) personaly i've got good experience with zalman (about zero noise,
maximum cooling, but this one is expensive)
