How to verify install CD's?

Hi Marco.  Thanks, this is exactly correct.  Here is
the methodology for those who do not wish to search
for it:

To manually test CDs, you will need to use the dd
command line utility. 

First insert the CD to be tested into your CD/DVD
drive. Do NOT mount the drive. 
If you have
a file manager that automatically mounts this device
when you insert a disc, you 
will need to
disable this feature. 

Now enter the command: 

     dd if=/dev/cdrom bs=2k | md5sum

This will return a 32 character string which is the
checksum of the CD image. You 
can find the
correct value in the MD5SUM document where you
downloaded the CD image from in a
