kind of like wandering in the desert (living in Phoenix, not the best
idea this time of year)

Ended up downloading rpm's from python.org but still had problem so I
built from src.rpm and it worked.

Thanks.

Now, wondering where I would report problems with the package which I
presume is coming from fedora-extras.
