Been working on getting MP3 support for xmms for a couple of days now.
My latest attempt is to just use up2date to install the MP3 plugins for
the version of xmms that came with the distro (xmms 1.2.10) but when I
enter:
# up2date xmms-mp3

I get the following results:

Testing package set / solving RPM inter-dependencies...
There was a package dependency problem. The message was:

Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
xmms-mp3 1.2.10-0.lvn.2.2 requires libgdk-1.2.so.0
xmms-mp3 1.2.10-0.lvn.2.2 requires libglib-1.2.so.0

xmms-mp3 1.2.10-0.lvn.2.2 requires libgtk-1.2.so.0

Most of those libs are already on my machine, but at higher rev numbers.
Has anyone been able to get xmms working with mp3s for an Athlon 64
machine yet? How can I work through this?

Thanks,
Pete
