On the Beowulf list recently, there has been a thread on a Fedora-based
cluster distribution.

Perhaps you would be better asking your question over there?
I'd be interested in working on a 2.6 kernel based cluster - I'd like
to see how the scheduler behaves on typical HPC type loads etc. etc.
