Needing Help Building A Core 2 CD With A 2.6.6 Kernel

I have been trying to build a Core 2 cd that boots
with a 2.6.6 kernel and installs the same. Everything
I have found shows how to rebuild an older distro. I
know that most of the info I have found is correct,
but I keep running into problems (looking for RedHat
instead of Fedora and etc). Is someone working on a
How-To on this or would someone be willing to help me?
