hi rayzor,

yours is a 32-bit Athlon. the x86_64 distros are for the Athlon64 and the Opteron. An opteron's cpuinfo would be something like:

processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 5
model name : AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 144
stepping : 8
cpu MHz : 1804.149
cache size : 1024 KB
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : 1
wp : yes
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 syscall nx mmxext lm 3dnowext 3dnow
bogomips : 3591.37
TLB size : 1088 4K pages
clflush size : 64
address sizes : 40 bits physical, 48 bits virtual
power management: ts ttp

and an athlon 64 gives something like:

processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 4
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+
stepping : 10
cpu MHz : 2002.662
cache size : 1024 KB
fdiv_bug : no
hlt_bug : no
f00f_bug : no
coma_bug : no
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : 1
wp : yes
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 syscall mmxext lm 3dnowext 3dnow
bogomips : 3932.16

Cheers,

JB

Does it mean I need to get the x86_64 ISO?

Thanks,

-Ray
