more detail in rpm changelogs??

   just yesterday, cvs web access on an FC1 host here stopped working,
and digging thru the error messages was a note that "cvs -l" wasn't
supported anymore.

   i just checked the changelog for that new cvs package, and there's 
no real detail that explained this. the last changelog entry was

* Thu Jun 10 2004 Nalin Dahyabhai <nalin at redhat.com> 1.11.17-1

- update to 1.11.17, which includes those last few fixes

but this isn't what you'd call all that informative.  i just use

   $ rpm -q --changelog ...

to get the changelog, is there a more informative change record?  it 
seems that changelogs might be a bit more detailed.
