Losing files on USB drive

Check if your USB enclosure uses the Genesys Logic, Inc. Chipset. That chipset 
is a bit buggy and cannot handle transfers with sector sizes of 120 Kb (which 
is default in FC1) Changing that size to 64 KB resolves the problem.
To accomplish this you need to edit the kernel source code and recompile the 
kernel.
I have filed this with Bugzilla and it has been changed in FC2.
