Is it fair to subject members of a list to sender authenticated verifications?
Is this considered polite by list members?

You are receiving this message because of a message you sent to xxxxxxxx.

xxxxxxx is using a new anti-spam webbased service called SpamRival.com.
As such he/she only accepts email from authenticated users. This is to
insure that messages from automated spammers cannot get through.

In order for your message to be delivered, you will need to click the link
below. You will then be taken to a page that will display a graphic image.
Simply read the word in that image, type that word info the form and you
will be authenticated. You will only need to do this once.

SpamRival.com is a revolutionary new anti-spam webbased service that requires
senders to authenticate themselves before their email messages are delivered
 to the recipient.

If you do not authenticate yourself within six days after receiving this
email message, your email messages will be deleted and therefore will not be
 delivered to xxxxx.
