FC2 - fonts Sans Serif and Serif look different than the FC1 ones

Hi,

why do the fonts "Sans Serif" and "Serif" in FC2 look different than in
FC1? Especially I mean the difference between normal and bold capitals
like B, E, F, H or R. The upper part of these letters seems to be stretched.

Is this issue related to the changes of Xft, fontconfig, XFS, ...?
How can I fix it?
