FC1/FC2 or RedHat9

What model laptop?  What kind of graphics/sound/modem hardware does the
laptop have?  FC1 works well on my laptop (Thinkpad X20), but I'm
reluctant to put FC2 on there because of issues with ATI Rage Mobility
graphics cards and the ltmodem drivers.

So, what sort of hardware are we talking about here?  If we knew, maybe
someone could chime in?
