32 bit apps under AMD64 Fedora

Hi Folks,

How does one enable the use of 32bit apps under an Opteron-based AMD64 Fedora 
install?  There are a number of apps out there that have not been ported to 
the 64 bit environment (and in fact don't really need to be 64bit), but they 
don't seem to work because of the 64bit library loader.

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I can't find a list archive source.
